1813 NSW Colonial dump

A rare New South Wales silver Colonial dump or fifteen pence.

Of barely 1000 extant from the original 20,000 punched out of the centre of Spanish Pillar dollars at Governor MacQuarie’s instructions, this is effectively Australia’s first coin and is an essential piece in any Australian collection.

Fine examples can fetch $100,000 and although this example is well used, it is essential for collectors and museums.
